Wisdom for your hardest day.

AskSolon is an education-first answer engine for law. We help people understand their situation in plain English, then connect them with a vetted attorney when they want one.

Why we exist

When something goes wrong, most people do not need a sales pitch. They need a clear answer to a specific question, written in language they can actually understand. The internet is full of legal pages that say a lot without answering anything. We are building the opposite.

AskSolon starts with the question a real person types at midnight, gives the honest answer first, and shows the law it is based on. Education comes first. The directory and the intake tools come after, once we have earned your trust.

What we do

  • We publish plain-English guides to common injury questions, reviewed by licensed attorneys.
  • We cite the real law, and we never print legal specifics for a place we have not verified.
  • We maintain a directory of vetted personal injury firms, starting in Texas.
  • We connect people who want a lawyer with a firm that fits, on the person's terms.

Where we start

Personal injury, Texas first, with Houston as our wedge. We would rather be the best answer for one kind of case in one place than a thin directory for everything everywhere. We expand only when the content for a new area is genuinely useful and has been reviewed.

How we make money, and how we do not

Our model is consumer initiated. A person comes to us, not the other way around. Listings and connections are flat fee. We do not split legal fees, we do not pay or take referral fees, and we do not chase or solicit injured people. That keeps us clean under Texas barratry rules and, more importantly, it keeps our incentives pointed at you rather than at a kickback.

Our standards

Every legal answer shows a named author and a named reviewing attorney with a bar number. We do not display ratings unless they are backed by real reviews. We say "we do not know yet" when that is the truth. If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction. You can read exactly how we vet attorneys and how we write our content on the pages below.
