Attorney advertising notice.
Parts of this site are attorney advertising. This notice explains that, and explains the clean, consumer-first model we use.

This is attorney advertising and education
Some of the material on AskSolon, including firm listings and directory pages, is attorney advertising. The rest is general legal education. None of it is legal advice, and none of it is a solicitation directed at you about a specific legal matter.
Our model is consumer initiated
You come to us. We do not contact injured people to drum up cases, we do not send runners or cappers, and we do not chase accident reports. Everything here is designed for a person who is already looking for an answer or a lawyer of their own accord.
How we are paid
- Firms may pay a flat fee to be listed. Placement and ranking are never for sale.
- We do not split legal fees with attorneys.
- We do not pay or accept referral fees for sending or receiving clients.
This structure is meant to keep us compliant with Texas barratry rules and the rules of professional conduct, and to keep our incentives aligned with the people we serve rather than with a kickback.
