Accessibility statement.
We want everyone to be able to use AskSolon, including people who use assistive technology. Accessibility is a requirement for us, not an afterthought.
Last updated June 19, 2026
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across the site. We treat accessibility as part of the definition of done for every page, not as a later cleanup.
What we do
- We write semantic HTML so screen readers can understand the page structure.
- We keep text and background colors at AA contrast or better.
- The site is keyboard navigable, and focus is always visible.
- Images have meaningful alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Pages are server rendered with stable layout, so content does not jump while it loads.
- We respect the reduce-motion setting and avoid unnecessary animation.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never finished. We test with automated checks and keyboard navigation, and we fix issues as we find them. If part of the site does not meet the standard yet, we want to know.
Tell us about a barrier
If you run into an accessibility barrier on AskSolon, please contact us through the options we provide on the site and describe the page and the problem. We will work to fix it and, where we can, to give you the information you needed in another way in the meantime.
